	A geographical curiosity is the twist in the indefinite north-east ridge, which after ambling down easily towards, apparently, the obvious destination if Thirlmere, unexpectedly changes character and rises again on a rocky rampart now heading due north in a heavy scree of trees to the abrupt, exciting top of Raven Crag.
