	It is remarkable that the alterative path to Sty Head from Seathwaite (via Taylor Gill Force) has not found greater favour, especially since the original path (via Stockly Bridge) deteriorated into a river of stones. The alternative is shorter, more interesting (with just a little scrambling on the side of the ravine) and give a magnificent close view of the Force, a disadvantage is wet ground in the intakes.
